Two Husky divers post top-five finishes at Duke Dog Invite

Unlike their normal diving invitationals, this meet had the preliminary rounds and the finals for the 1-meter and the 3-meter dives all in one day, rather than over the course of two days. This proved to be a grueling physical and mental challenge, but fourth-year captain Alyssa Seales was proud of how the team rose to the occasion.

Genco drops five 3’s, Huskies trounce UNCW

The Northeastern women’s basketball team won 56-39 against the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in commanding fashion Friday night at Cabot Center.
In the first minutes, the Huskies answered a 4-0 start by the visiting Seahawks with a 24-3 run. The Huskies never relinquished their lead after the 6:02 mark in the first quarter.

Women’s basketball splits CAA games, continues to build confidence

The Northeastern women’s basketball team has greatly improved their game under head coach Kelly Cole, since she took her position in 2014. The Huskies now have a greater confidence in themselves that moves them to them next level, evident in their split set of games this past weekend.

Swimming and diving wins, recognizes seniors at final home meet

Defeating Central Connecticut State 164-117 in their final home meet of the season, Northeastern swimming and diving recognized their seven senior members prior to the meet with flowers, balloons and posters.

Northeastern student-athletes earned a cumulative GPA exceeding a 3.0 for the 20th consecutive semester as of Fall 2017, a testament their collaboration with the Office of Student Athlete Support Services, a department of specialists and interns that work with around 450 student-athletes.

The Huskies stayed even with the Dragons early on — the teams were deadlocked at 10 after trading baskets and playing at a slow pace in the first quarter. With a recorded attendance of 816, the Huskies had their second biggest crowd of the season thus far.

The Northeastern women’s swimming and diving team raced to a decisive 182-118 dual meet win against the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, Saturday. The meet against Vermont was the first competition for the Huskies since Dec. 2.
