Letter to the Editor: CUP criticism does not improve decision-making

The column discussing CUP’s decision-making for Springfest performances was extremely inconsistent with how things actually work. Starting early in the fall semester, students have many chances to help in the long decision process that CUP goes through every year to find the right artist to bring to Northeastern. It is not easy and it is not always fun, especially when members of the student body who chose not to participate give negative feedback to the process.

From prior experience working with members of CUP, they are very open to ideas and very fun people to work with. If at all interested in planning Springfest or any of the events, it really is not hard to find the information to do so. The dates and times of meetings are easily accessible via CUP’s Web site, www.cup.neu.edu.
