Still no suspects in Ell Hall fire, NUPD reports After an extensive investigation, Northeastern police still have no suspects in the April 2 fire in Ell Hall. The fire, which was determined to have been deliberately set, damaged sections of the second and third floor, mainly the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution. Jim Ferrier, associate director of public safety, said the NUPD shared their information with the Boston Fire Department arson squad on Friday, hoping for some guidance. He said he is waiting for the squad to respond, and if they have no suggestions, they will probably consider the case closed and it will remain unsolved. “We’ve interviewed scores of people,” Ferrier said. “We played back the video from all the surveillance cameras on campus
