Sunday fires ruled arson

The Boston Fire Department has ruled both of yesterday’s fires in the Curry Student Center (CSC) and Churchill Hall as arson. The investigation is ongoing and the monetary damages to the buildings were released this morning. “The Student Center has $100,000 worth of damages,” said David Pfeil, public information officer for the Boston Fire Department. “In the other building, Churchill, a janitorial supply closet suffered $10,000 worth of damages.” No leads or motives have been announced. The CSC has been reopened but there is limited access to the fourth floor due to water damage and air quality concerns.
