During the final days of summer, my boyfriend came to visit me at my parents’ home in the country.

One day we decided to go for a canoe ride on a nearby lake. While out on the water, I noticed an interesting pathway in the woods and wanted to explore. We docked our ride and began to climb the mountain.

The pathway turned out to be non-existent, but we decided to make our own way anyway – trekking through trees, brush and dirt in our flip flops and shorts.

We finally reached a clearing, and I do not know if it was the smell of nature or the fact we were stranded alone in the wilderness, but we suddenly felt a strong urge to “do it like they do on the Discovery channel.”

Soon we got down to business – kissing ferociously and ripping each others’ clothes off like animals. All of a sudden, just as things were about to reach the point of no return, there was a rustling in the bushes.

Startled, we glanced up to see three beavers about four feet away staring directly at us. I jumped and yelled, and the sleek-haired creatures turned and ran away.

My boyfriend and I stared at each other in shock as those dam beavers had caused us a dilemma – to stay or to go.

We decided it was best to escape when we could in case the beavers decided to return with a vengeance.

I guess it is best to keep animal-like desires in the bedroom – away from the real animals.
