Player of the Week: Kristin Kowalik

With half the season behind them and only CAA opponents ahead, women’s soccer senior co-captain Kristin Kowalik helped her team close out their week strong.

The Northeastern News Player of the Week had a goal and an assist in Sunday’s game against William ‘ Mary, which resulted in a 2-2 tie after two overtime periods, although NU outshot the Tribe 6-4 in OT. Kowalik came into her senior season on a hot streak. She was one of a handful of Huskies to start in all games since the beginning of her Northeastern career. She had 19 goals in the 2005 season, including the season opener. In 2004 she led the team with 22 points, and in 2003 she lead with 26 points and 11 goals. Kowalik redshirted the 2002 season.
