Just four games into conference play coach Ed Matz said he has seen enough to consider his club contenders for one of the top spots in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).
Despite a 2-2 tie Sunday at No. 16 William ‘ Mary (9-1-2, 3-0-1) and a 2-1 setback at Old Dominion (11-1, 3-1) Friday, the Huskies’ (6-3-2, 2-1-1) consistent play on both sides of the ball (out-shooting opponents 167-120, outscoring opponents 18-12, amassing five shutouts) allowed Matz the freedom to make such a statement.
