Int’l student enrollment sought

The number of international students enrolled at Northeastern decreased after September 11. It has since bounced back, Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Philomena Mantella told the Faculty Senate last week.

Mantella said she wants that to increase.

“International is a place we need to go with some real intensity over the next five years,” she said.

This change in focus is among many the university is making with regard to student recruiting. Another is Northeastern’s changing presence at college fairs.
