Two weeks ago, Ashley and Ali Bielawski played what may have been their last hockey game together, a 6-2 loss at Boston University Feb. 24. The sisters from Needham have played together for six years, four with the Assabet Valley Midgets in high school and two at Northeastern.
Ashley, older by a year and a half, is the faster skater, they said, but Ali has better hands. They also said there has never been rivalry between them because each sister has her own distinct strengths.
“We’re both basically equal,” Ashley said. “She has good hands, I’m a good skater, so we both have our assets.
