AfterHOURS fall lineup diverse, student-driven

Music aficionados, chronic show-goers and casual listeners alike can satisfy their live-music cravings this fall at afterHOURS.

The venue, located on the ground floor of the Curry Student Center, is nearby, offers free admission and has a full-service Starbucks. With diverse musical offerings and an intimate atmosphere, it is geared toward anyone with an affinity for small gigs.

Last year, afterHOURS hosted a Battle of the Bands, a visit from the ’90s pop trio Hanson, and an abundance of other musical acts. During Springfest, it introduced students to the acoustic styles of Steel Train and Augustana at NEU Unplugged.

This fall’s schedule features an equally eclectic assortment of music.

Wally’s Stepchildren, a rotating group of musicians, will leave their regular venue of Columbus Avenue’s Wally’s Caf
