Swimming and diving competes at Harvard
The swimming and diving team traveled to Harvard Friday to take on the Crimson in the Huskies’ last meet of the season before the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championship.
Northeastern competed in 11 events in the non-scoring meet. Top performers for NU included juniors Kathrine Fugge and Erica Smotrycz, along with sophomore Rachel Mondello taking first in the 150-yard freestyle relay.
Freshman Rachel Peterson finished fourth in the 3-meter dive event and fifth in the 1-meter.
Northeastern wraps up the regular season with a record of 7-6 (2-3 CAA) after finishing last season with a 10-0 record, including a 3-0 mark in the CAA. They will compete in the CAA championship at George Mason in Fairfax, Va., Feb. 25-Feb. 28.

Football announces 11 game 2009 schedule
The Northeastern football team announced its 11 game schedule last Thursday. The Huskies will play 10 of their 11 games in New England, including opening the season at BCS opponent Boston College Sept. 5.
The Huskies open their home and conference portion of the season Sept. 12 when Maine travels to Parson Field.’ Non-conference opponents Youngstown State and Holy Cross will also travel to Parsons on Sept. 19 and Oct. 3, respectively.
NU will close out its season on Nov. 21 at Rhode Island.
Overall, Northeastern will play six home games next fall after playing five last season. Times for each of the 11 games are yet to be determined.
