Senior center fielder David Gustafson participated in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) All-Star game with the Eastern All-Stars July 18.
Gustafson plays for the Lowell All-Americans NECBL squad. He has a .276 batting average this season and leads the team with four home runs, 22 runs scored and 22 runs batted in (RBI).
For the Huskies in 2009, Gustafson hit .276 with four home runs, 28 RBI, and 18 doubles while starting every game in center. Gustafson also had a perfect fielding-percentage in 2009, making 128 putouts.
He started the All-Star game in right field and had an RBI single in the fourth inning in a 6-5 loss for the Eastern All-Stars.
