Earlier this week, the Council for University Programs (CUP) issued a survey through the myNEU portal to get student input about the 2010 Springfest concert
The survey asked students what genre of music they would like the music act to be for the concert, how long the concert should be, how much they would pay for the concert and what artists they would be interested in seeing. The survey listed 152 artists for students to choose from, including dance-pop sensation Lady Gaga.
Days after the survey was released, the Facebook group ‘Dear CUP:’ We want GAGA’ was formed. The group had 1,237 members at press time, many of whom advocated for bringing Lady Gaga to Northeastern. Unfortunately, Huskies may not be able to see the Fame Monster in Matthews Arena this spring:’ According to Lady Gaga’s website, she will be on tour in the United Kingdom until March 8. Last year, the Springfest concert was April 4. This year’s concert has yet to be scheduled.
