Alternative Health Day in Curry today
The Phi Delta Chi pharmacy fraternity is hosting Alternative Health Day beginning at 9 a.m. today in the Curry Student Center indoor quad, according to a message from the group. Activities include a blood drive in the Curry Student Center ballroom, making stress balls in the indoor quad, an acupuncture presentation at noon and a free yoga session in the McLeod Suites at 3 p.m. There will also be health information and giveaways throughout the day. Meditation session Monday
There will be a half-hour guided meditation next Monday at 11:15 a.m. in the Sacred Space in Ell Hall, according to the campus calendar. Gender violence prevention program next week
The Center for Sports in Society is hosting Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP), a three-day certification program aimed to motivate men and women to help solve problems related to rape, battery and sexual harassment. The sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 13 to July 15. For more information or to register, visit Northeastern.edu/sportsinsociety.
